I hope you all have had a great week. I have been busy this week attending training and have had very little time at a computer, but I intend to be back in full swing again next week. To recap my week, I thought I would share some photos for this #photofinishfriday !
I had four days of non-stop Annual Refresher training this week, which involved lots of sitting in one place. It was nice to get away from the office, but the same “refresher” training does tend to get a bit boring. I definitely brought lots of water and my favorite Tazo tea flavor, Wild Sweet Orange, to keep me hydrated all week! I also may or may not have been sneaking a peak at this month’s Outside magazine. Shhhh!
To back up a little bit, last weekend I had a fun night out with my very best friend to attend a concert from The Band Perry. We have been friends since 6th grade and although we don’t get to see each other very often (she lives almost 2 hours away), we do the best we can to see each other at least a few times a year. We both found ourselves pondering the last concert we had attended. I think the last one I attended was the CMA Music Festival in about 2005. Crazy!
The Band Perry put on a fabulous show and I really enjoyed the energy they had throughout their performance. I love that they’re all siblings and a lot of their message was all about being a “pioneer” and really standing true to yourself. Hence, their tag #WeArePioneer.
Over the weekend, we also paid a visit to my parents and celebrated my belated Bday dinner. I love spending time with them and especially my little nephew. Just how cute is he with those curls!?
And to finish off my week I swung by the library and picked up this month’s read from our book club, Novel Conversations. I was unable to attend the last meeting due to having rehearsal with the choir, but I’m planning on joining in for this next month. This month’s read is a mystery by Tana French called In the Woods . I know what I’m doing this weekend!!
I hope you all have a great weekend. The weather report says we are in for another DOOZY of a storm, so I guess I have that to look forward to…eh. At least I have a good book to curl up with now!
Do you still hang out with any of your friends from high school?
What was the last concert you attended?
